Tribune Interactive
Tribune selects Crisp Wireless to extend major market
newspaper brands onto mobile devices resulting in a
local mobile advertising network
Offer consumers on the go ad supported, high-quality news, information and entertainment content where and when then want it. Tribune Interactive wanted to leverage one vendor to roll out multiple properties for major market local publications, including The Chicago Tribune, The LA Times, Newsday and The Baltimore Sun. Additionally, Tribune Interactive needed a Spanish language solution for the property Hoy.
Crisp Wireless collaborated with Tribune Interactive to design a site template that would offer mobile visitors direct access to Top Stories, Business, Sports and Entertainment with other category sections to be customized on a publication by publication basis, facilitating the deployment of multiple brands launching simultaneously. Sites link out to Tribune partners including Weather Underground and Cars.com. By creating a standard yet flexible template, Crisp Wireless was able to offer both a time and cost efficient solution while providing Tribune Interactive the flexibility to offer each publication a tailored mobile website to feature content and interests specific to each local market..
"Crisp Wireless' proven technology platform has enabled us to deliver a rich mobile experience to millions of our consumers, and has helped make this a viable channel for Tribune. We're able to deliver our leading news and information content to our consumers where and when they need it, and bring this highly affluent and educated audience to our advertisers."
